VIDEO Part 2: Life, Liberty, And The Pursuit Of Peace

In part 2 of this seminar, John Morton comes closer to the present day, telling a story of his trip to Kandahar, Afghanistan shortly after the September 11 tragedy in America. The story itself is thoroughly engaging; John describes what he learned as he saw the poverty and destruction in Kandahar, “… you could say, ‘It’s too vast. There’s too much disturbance and trouble to handle.’”

“That’s the attitude that never goes anywhere,” he observes. “The attitude that makes a difference is, ‘I’ll do what I can.’ And that’s really what I have to say today. Let’s just do what we can to move toward a world that has greater peace in it, because,” he says, “we’re all in charge of our own peace.”

John concludes with a beautiful blessing for peace which is deeply felt.
